OKLAHOMA CITY — Now this is something you definitely don’t see every day.
Things got strange in the Oklahoma City Comets dugout last night when pitcher Landon Knack, who wasn’t pitching in the game, was ejected by home plate umpire Derek Thomas.
One at-bat later, backup catcher Chadwick Tromp was also ejected by Thomas while sitting on the Comets bench.
It remains unclear exactly what was said from the dugout to trigger the two ejections, but it certainly made for an unusual night in Oklahoma City.
Not something we see every day from our leader behind the plate — especially when he wasn’t even behind the plate.
